A Shadow's Dance

The separation between glass and sand

The inconsistent rhythm of the rain

Another sleepless night to bleed away the pain

Another reminder to show me that I can't rest

In a constant state of terror

When angels lower their guard

I find myself defenseless

Shadows dance across the ceiling

Reaching out to caress the soul

The moons light bleeds in

The curtains fail to secure

The lights fail to keep the fear away

My chest rises and falls

But yet I can't seem to dream

Fighting to keep myself contained

The only thing that keeps me alive

Is the hope that I'll dream

Is panic a paradise

Can these word save me

Reassurance forgives and
