How to Manage Playlists and Queues in Beatra

Beatra has one of the most complete playlist and queue management systems of any Discord music bot. Whether you want to save your favorite tracks, build curated playlists, or share music with your community, here is everything you need to know.

Understanding the Queue vs Playlists

Queue — a temporary, session-based list of tracks that plays in order. The queue is cleared when Beatra leaves the channel or when you use /stop.

Playlists — saved, persistent collections of tracks stored in your Beatra account. They survive between sessions and can be loaded into the queue at any time.

Queue Management

Viewing the Queue

/queue

Shows all tracks currently in the queue with their position, title, duration, and who added them.

Adding Tracks

/play query: song name

If music is already playing, /play adds to the queue instead of interrupting. Multiple people can add tracks simultaneously.

Shuffling

/shuffle

Randomizes the order of all tracks currently in the queue.

Clearing the Queue

/clear

Removes all tracks from the queue without stopping the current song.

Loop Modes

/loop

Options: track (repeat current), queue (loop all), off (no loop).

Creating a Playlist

You can also set a playlist as public so other Beatra users can find and like it.

Adding Tracks to a Playlist

Or add the currently playing track directly:

Playing a Playlist

/playlist view playlist: My Favorites

From the view, click Load to Queue to dump the entire playlist into the current session.

Removing a Track from a Playlist

/playlist remove playlist: My Favorites position: 3

Renaming a Playlist

Liking a Public Playlist

Liked playlists show up in your playlist list and can be loaded to queue.
