Get Beatra up and running on your Discord server in under 5 minutes. This step-by-step guide covers inviting, permissions, and first-time configuration.

Adding Beatra to a Discord server takes about 5 minutes. This guide covers every step from invite to first song.
Beatra will immediately appear in your server's member list.
Beatra needs these minimum permissions to work correctly:
| Permission | Why it's needed |
|---|---|
| Connect | Join voice channels |
| Speak | Play audio |
| Send Messages | Post play/queue embeds |
| Embed Links | Show rich card embeds |
| Use Slash Commands | Accept /play, /queue, etc. |
| Read Message History | Context for button interactions |
If you granted Administrator during invite, all permissions are covered.
To check permissions: Go to Server Settings > Roles > Beatra's role and verify the above are enabled.
While not required, a dedicated text channel keeps music-related embeds organized:
#music or #beatraJoin a voice channel, then in any text channel:
/play query: Never Gonna Give You Up
Beatra will join your voice channel and start playing.
If you prefer a custom text prefix instead of slash commands:
/prefix new: !
Now you can use !play, !skip, etc. in addition to slash commands.
Beatra supports 20+ languages. Set the bot language for your server:
/language
Select your preferred language from the menu. All bot responses will switch to that language.
Here are the essential commands to get started:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/play | Play a song or URL |
/queue | View the current queue |
/skip | Skip current track |
/stop | Stop and clear queue |
/volume | Set volume (1-100) |
/loop | Toggle loop mode |
/shuffle | Shuffle the queue |
/nowplaying | See current track info |
See the full commands guide for every available command.
