Beatra Audio Effects Guide: Bass Boost, Nightcore, 8D and More

One of the most fun features in Beatra is the audio effects system. With a single slash command you can transform how your music sounds in real time — no extra software, no latency, no quality loss.

How to Apply an Effect

/effect effect: bassboost

The effect is applied instantly to the ongoing stream. Everyone in the voice channel hears it immediately.

All Available Effects

None (Default)

Removes all active effects and resets audio to the original stream.

Bass Boost

Amplifies the low-frequency range for a deep, thumping sound. Perfect for hip-hop, trap, and EDM.

Nightcore

Speeds up the track and raises the pitch, giving music an energetic anime-style feel. A fan favorite for energized listening sessions.

Vaporwave

The opposite of Nightcore — slows the track down and lowers the pitch for a dreamy, retro aesthetic.

8D Audio

Simulates a rotating, three-dimensional soundstage. Best experienced with headphones — the audio seems to move around your head in a circle.

Karaoke

Applies a vocal reduction filter that targets center-panned audio (where lead vocals usually sit). Great for sing-along sessions.

Tremolo

Rapidly modulates the volume of the audio to create a wavering, pulsating sound effect.

Vibrato

Modulates the pitch rapidly, creating a wavering effect commonly used in classic rock and orchestral music.

Soft

Applies a gentle low-pass filter that rolls off high frequencies. Makes harsh or loud tracks feel smoother and easier on the ears.

Effect Limits by Plan

Free users get one effect switch per day. With Beatra Premium you can switch effects as many times as you like without any cooldown.

Combining Effects

Currently only one effect can be active at a time. To change effects, simply run /effect again with the new effect name — the previous one is automatically removed.

Tips

• 8D + lo-fi beats is a fan favorite combination — search for a lofi playlist and apply 8D
• Bass Boost + hip-hop gives every track a club-like quality
• Nightcore works surprisingly well with pop and anime soundtracks
• Use Soft for late-night listening when you want to keep the volume peaceful
