Privacy, Terms & User Settings: What Changed on Beatra (Web + Bot)
We shipped a major privacy update across Beatra: a new user settings page, improved terms/privacy pages, direct OAuth redirects on protected routes, and a new /privacy bot command with quick links.
We just shipped a major privacy and transparency update
At Beatra, privacy is not a checkbox feature — it is a core product responsibility. With this release, we improved how privacy information is shown across the website, fixed localization and rendering issues, added a dedicated user privacy settings page, and introduced a new bot command to make policy access faster inside Discord.
New: Privacy Settings page on the website

From this page, you can control profile visibility and data-sharing preferences in a single place. The page is designed to make privacy controls easier to discover and easier to maintain over time.
Terms & Privacy pages were improved
We completed a full pass on legal content delivery with a focus on:
- clearer structure and readability,
- better localization consistency across languages,
- correct rich text/link rendering in translated content,
- improved reliability of legal page content display.
This ensures users can read key legal and privacy information in a more consistent and understandable format.
New bot command: /privacy
Inside Discord, you can now use:
/privacy
The command provides a concise privacy & terms summary and direct links to:
- Settings page: https://beatra.app/user/settings
- Terms: https://beatra.app/terms
- Privacy Policy: https://beatra.app/privacy
The command is integrated with bot language files so users can access guidance in their configured language.
Authentication flow improvement on protected pages
We also improved user flow on auth-required pages:
- users are now redirected directly to Discord OAuth when authentication is required,
- after successful login, users are sent back to the exact page they originally tried to open.
This removes unnecessary friction and avoids confusing intermediate states.
Why this matters
These changes aim to make privacy controls and legal documents:
- easier to reach,
- easier to understand,
- and easier to trust.
We will continue improving transparency, localization quality, and policy usability as Beatra grows.
